A clearly defined and continuous tract of sand dunes trending east west for approximately 8km from the northern shores of Lake Vida towards Lower Victoria Glacier. Feature depicted on: NZ AntTopo50-ME09
The US-ACAN advised that it was named for the purposes of scientific investigation and use in scientific literature. The name was reported to be in local use. All of the ‘Victoria’ names in Antarctica are named after Queen Victoria, with Victoria Land named in the first instance by Capt James Clark Ross in the 1840s.
