A rock buttress, rising to 2790m, approximately 6.4km west of Beard Peak in the La Gorce Mountains, Queen Maud Mountains.
Mapped by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) from surveys and U.S. Navy (USN) aerial photographs, 1960-64. Geologically mapped by a U.S. Antarctic Research Program (USARP) - Arizona State University geological party, 1980-81. The name derives from a long snow chute up the face of the buttress.
