Presumably first seen by British National Antarctic Expedition (BrNAE), 1901-04, from nearby Depot Nunatak. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) in 1992 after Ursula B. Marvin, Smithsonian Astrophysical Laboratory, Cambridge, MA. Field party member, Antarctic Search for Meteorites (ANSMET) expedition to Victoria Land, 1978-79 and 1981-82. Field work at Seymour Island, 1984-85. Member of the Advisory Committee to the Division of Polar Programs, NSF, from 1983.
