Feature type: Ridge
This name originates from New Zealand. It is part of the New Zealand Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
Names that other countries have for this feature:
The western of two broad, mainly ice-free ridges that descend northward from Mount Morning, Scott Coast, Victoria Land. Mount Hubbard and Lake Morning are located at the north end of the ridge. Feature depicted on: NZ AntTopo50-MH10
The name was suggested by New Zealand geologist Anne C. Wright [Anne Grassham], who visited the ridge in balmy weather, 1985-86, in contrast to terrible wind conditions experienced earlier in the season on nearby Hurricane Ridge (q.v.).
