A basin approximately 35kmĀ² (below 1200m contour), in the north part of Ricker Hills, in the Prince Albert Mountains, Victoria Land. The south portion of the basin is ice free but the north portion has a large lobe of ice.
Mapped by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) from surveys and U.S. Navy (USN) air photos, 1956-62. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Robert W. Morris, biologist at McMurdo Station in the 1965-66 and 1966-67 seasons.
