The glacier between Chungnov Glacier and Crawford Glacier, in the Explorers Range, Bowers Mountains. It flows northeast from Mount Hager and enters Ob Bay west of Platypus Ridge.
Mapped by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, 1960-65. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Petr Astakhov, Soviet exchange scientist at the U.S. South Pole Station in 1967.
