A coastal ice piedmont at Rennick Bay, about 24km long and 20km wide, immediately north of Bowers Mountains and between the lower ends of Gannutz Glacier and Barber Glacier.
Mapped by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, 1960-62. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) in 1968 for Ernst Stuhlinger, National Aeronautics and Space Administration, a member of the U.S. National Science Foundation's Advisory Panel for Antarctic Programs.
