A dome-shaped summit at the east side of Bartlett Glacier, located 2.9km directly west of Lee Peak in the Queen Maud Mountains.
Mapped by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, 1960-64. Named by New Zealand Antarctic Place-Names Committee (NZ-APC) for George Donald (Don) Cowie, leader of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition (NZGSAE) which visited the region in 1969-70.
