A prominent mountain, 2498m, at the north of Longhurst Plateau above Darwin Névé, and 17km due south of the west end of the Finger Ridges in the Cook Mountains.
Climbed in December 1957 by the Darwin Glacier Party of the Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition (CTAE) (1956-58). Named for Horace Henry "Harry" Ayres, one of the two men comprising the Darwin Glacier Party.
