Mapped by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) from surveys and U.S. Navy (USN) air photos, 1960-63. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Parker Davis, photographer with U.S. Navy (USN) Squadron VX-6 in Operation Deep Freeze 1966 and 1967.
