This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.

Centred 3.18 km S of Host Island, 5.55 km WNW of Zherav Island, 2.11 km N of the midpoint of Yato Rocks, and 4.7 km NE of Kalmar Island in the Dannebrog Islands group.
