This name originates from United Kingdom. It is part of the Gazetteer of the British Antarctic Territory and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
Rocky Point at the northern end of the east coast of Clarence Island, mid-way between Cape Lloyd to the north and Sugarloaf Island to the south.
Named descriptively by the Joint Services Expedition to the Elephant Island Group (JSEEIG) 1976-77. The Point contains a significant colony of chinstrap penguins and is referenced in work by Croxall and Kirkwood (1979).
