Named by United States Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) after Lieutenant Commander Joseph W Entrikin, U.S. Navy, pilot with Squadron VS-6 during U.S. Navy Operation Deep Freeze, 1955-56. Mapped from air photographs taken by the US Navy.
