Narrative

A large peak, mainly ice-covered, about 11km north of Mount Zinkovich, which occupies the central part of the triple-peaked ridge just east of Mount Wharton, in the Churchill Mountains.

Named For

Named by United States Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) after Lieutenant Col. Wilbert Turk, commander of the 61st Troop Carrier Squadron which initiated the flights of C-130 Hercules aircraft in Antarctica in January 1960.
