En islas Amberes. Archipiélago de Palmer. Esta montaña cubierta de nieve de 8500 pies de altura marca el límite S de las montañas Aqueas en el centro de isla Amberes. Es parte del monte Ibáñez (monte Francais). Macizo que separa las cumbres que quedan 2 millas al W del pico principal del monte Ibáñez (monte Francais).

Named For

Bautizado en honor de Agamenón rey de Micenas y Jefe Supremo de todos los Aqueos y comandante en Jefe de las fuerzas Aqueas en la Guerra de Troya. Originariamente relevado desde el E por el Capitán A. Taylor del FIDS en 1944. Vuelto a relevar por A. J. Rennie y W. J. Hindson que lo fotografiaron en 1955.
