Glaciar que fluye desde el monte Taylor derramando en costa N de bahía Esperanza dos millas al W de punta Sheppard. Tiene unas 3 y media millas de longitud.

Named For

Relevado por R.R. Kenney del FIDS en febrero de 1995. Este glaciar forma parte de la ruta de trineo desde bahía Esperanza a punta View. Denominado así porque el piso plano de hielo de sus declives intermedios semejan arena.
