Seaplane por traducción Hidroavión. El nombre deriva de la asociación con bahía Curtiss. Glenn Curtiss famoso aviador después de quien la bahía fue llamada pionera de hidroplanos desde 1911 en adelante. A.B. -22-XI-76. Para Argentina bahía Curtiss es bahía Inútil frente a la misma están las balizas de cabo Morro. APC (60)8.
