This name originates from Australia. It is part of the Australian Antarctic Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
A colony of emperor penguins usually situated between Traverse Island and Fold Island, at the eastern side of Stefansson Bay, Kemp Land. It was first sighted from the air in 1956. Note: emperor penguin colonies may not remain in one fixed location.
