Narrative

A peak about 2,220 m above sea level at the northern side of the head of Silk Glacier. Mapped from air photographs taken by the US Navy.

Named For

Named by USACAN after Lt. Col. M. Zinkovich, USAF, commanding officer of the 1710th Aerial Port Squadron, which furnished airlift support between New Zealand and Antarctica and within Antarctica during USN Operation Deepfreeze 1962.
