Narrative

A mountain 4 km south of Mount Chalmers in the southern part of the Conway Range. Mapped from air photographs taken by the US Navy.

Named For

Named by USACAN after Lt. Cdr. C.H. Willis, USN, commander of USS Wilhoite, radar picket escort vessel which maintained an ocean station in support of aircraft flights between New Zealand and Antarctica during USN Operation Deepfreeze 1961.
