This name originates from Australia. It is part of the Australian Antarctic Gazetteer.
A sandy beach about one kilometre long directly below the Nares Glacier, Heard Island.
Named after Richard Hoseason, radio operator, 1952 ANARE Heard Island Expedition, who accidentally drowned in Corinthian Bay after being swept out to sea from this beach on 26 May 1952. He's now buried at Atlas Cove.
