Narrative

A peak, 1,885 m high, 15 km west of Mount Harrison in the northern USARP Mountains. Photographed by US Navy aircraft in 1960-62. Named after G.A.E. Simmonds, New Zealand cartographer, who has been engaged on the preparation of final drawings of Antarctic maps since 1961.
