Feature type: Outcrop
This name originates from Australia. It is part of the Australian Antarctic Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
An "S" shaped rocky outcrop in snow about one third of the way up the slope to the Løken Moraines near Casey and measuring about 150 m by 50 m. A 1.5 m steel pole was established at the station mark at the centre of a rock cairn. A trig station NM/S/251 was established there in July 1978. The survey station was established with the support of Rod Parsons on the highest rock outcrop in the area. Rod Parsons made a significant contribution to the success of the survey work during the 1978 Glaciological Spring Traverse. Rod wintered as Radio Operator at Casey during 1978.
