A neat, conical peak about 240 m above sea level, rising through the ice slopes south of Cape Bruce, Mac.Robertson Land.

Named For

Discovered on 18 February, 1931, by BANARE (1929-31) under Sir Douglas Mawson, who named it after J. Gordon Hayes, author of Antarctica and other works.
