Narrative

A peninsula in the Larsemann Hills projecting out of the ice plateau into the sea with uniformly steep sides rising to a central spine.

Named For

Named after Bruce Stinear, Geologist at Davis in 1957. In that year he made the first geological examination of the Larsemann Hills. Stinear was also the geologist in the first year at Mawson in 1954.
