A somewhat isolated, ice-free area, in the middle of the Brown Hills, most of which can be viewed from it. Discovered by the Victoria University of Wellington Antarctic Expedition (1962-63), who so named it because of the agreeable weather encountered there on each occasion on which the area was visited.
