Narrative

A prominent rock point on the southern side of Sandefjord Bay, about 15 km WNW of Mount Caroline Mikkelsen. Photographed by USN Operation Highjump (1946-47). Visited by I.R. McLeod, geologist with the ANARE Prince Charles Mountains Survey party, 1969.

Named For

Named after J. Palmer, helicopter pilot with the ANARE Expedition on the MV Nella Dan in 1968.
