Feature type: Point
This name originates from Australia. It is part of the Australian Antarctic Gazetteer.
A point on the east coast of Macquarie Island.
The colonial schooner "Brothers" was engaged in sealing at the time Macquarie Island was discovered. There is, however, no evidence of the use of this name during the first decade of exploitation and it remains uncertain that this name, in use at the end of the nineteenth century, does commemorate this early association with the Island. Tasmania Nomenclature Board Reg 19273J / Decn 4888. In lieu of "Tom Ugly Point".
