A small island less than 0.5 km north-east of Cameron Island in the Swain Group, Windmill Islands. This vicinity was photographed by USN Operation Highjump (1946-47), ANARE (1956 and 1962) and the Soviet Antarctic Expedition (1956). It was included in a ground survey of the Swain Group by Carl Eklund, scientific leader at Wilkes in 1957. Named after George E. Magee, USN, carpenter at Wilkes station in 1957.
