This name originates from Australia. It is part of the Australian Antarctic Gazetteer.
A rock in Corinthian Bay about 100 metres to the north of the terminal cliffs of the Challenger Glacier, Heard Island.
The name was taken from an early expedition map by Dr E H M Ealey in 1949. A.T. Carroll was a weather observer with the 1948 ANARE Heard Island Expedition.
