This name originates from Australia. It is part of the Australian Antarctic Gazetteer.
A submarine ridge on the Kerguelen Plateau about 65 nautical miles from Heard Island. Gunnari Ridge has been mapped by various survey vessels including the Eltanin, Cape Pillar, Professor Mesyutsev and the RSV Aurora Australis. Consistently high catches and abundance of the icefish, Clampsocephalus gunnari have been recorded from this ridge in 150-280 m depth.
