This name originates from Australia. It is part of the Australian Antarctic Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
A lake measuring about 0.8 by 0.3 kms about 1.3 kms east from Kemp Peak. The lake is roughly triangular in shape. It drains from it northern end into Stillwell Lake via a channel that flows infrequently.
Named for its shape which resembles an old fashioned plough blade.
