Narrative

A rock outcrop forming the southern extremity of the Mawson Escarpment, Mac.Robertson Land. Plotted from ANARE air photographs taken in 1956, 1960 AND 1973. Named after Group Captain RFM Dalton, RAAF (Retd) Officer-in-Charge ANARE Macquarie Island in 1953, Aviation Officer with the Antarctic Division, Melbourne, 1954-72.
