One of a group of three high points about 1.4 km south of Deep Lake in the Vestfold Hills, the feature is 141 m high and has steep sides with cliffs to the south and east. The feature was the terminal tellurometer station of the 1969 ANARE Prince Charles Mountains survey.
Named after J. Tarbuck cook at Wilkes in 1965, cook at Davis in 1969 and expedition assistant at Wilkes in 1967.
