Feature type: Deep
This name originates from Australia. It is part of the Australian Antarctic Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
A narrow bathymetric deep, deeper than 1000 m about 55 nautical miles south from Fram Bank. The Lambert Deep apparently extends from under the western part of the Amery Ice shelf for at least 25 km to the ENE. Named because of the proximity of the feature to the Lambert Glacier.
