This name originates from Australia. It is part of the Australian Antarctic Gazetteer.
A high snow covered dome near the summit of Big Ben, Heard Island at a height of about 2380 metres.
Named for John King Davis, master of the Discovery which anchored in Corinthian Bay during the visit to the island by Mawson's BANZAR Expedition in Nov 1929. The feature was once referred to simply as 'The Dome'.
