Sketched and photographed by Phillip Law, leader of the ANARE Expedition on the MV Magga Dan on 20 February, 1959. Named after Knud Lauritzen, shipowner, of Copenhagen, Denmark, owner of the Magga Dan and other vessels used by ANARE since 1954.
