This name originates from Australia. It is part of the Australian Antarctic Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
An ice stream trending northwards across the Polar Plateau for about 95 km before discharging into the Nimrod Glacier. Discovered by the northern party of the New Zealand Geological and survey Antarctic Expedition (1961-62). Named from the Nimrod Glacier.
