This name originates from Australia. It is part of the Australian Antarctic Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
An inlet on Mule Peninsula, Vestfold Hills, just west of Laternula Lake. Visited by an ANARE geological and biological party in January-February 1972.
Named because of its proximity to Laternula Lake to which it was probably connected in recent geological time.
