A steep-sided, island with three outlying rocks, between Hobs Island and Scoble Glacier on the coast of Mac.Robertson Land.
Mapped from aerial photographs taken by the Lars Christensen Expedition (1936-37) and called Uksen by Norwegian cartographers. Renamed because it is one of the few islands on this coast which does not occur in a group.
