Narrative

Fue descubierto en 1902 por la Expedición Antártica Sueca al mando del comandante Otto Nordenskjöld y llamada bahía Drygalski, denominada así por el Dr. Erich von Drygalski geofísico que dedicó su vida a las exploraciones de las regiones polares. Lo determinó como glaciar el FIDS en 1947. Glaciar de aproximadamente 15 millas de largo y 8 millas de ancho que fluye en una dirección ESE, en una forma de ángulo recto a 15 millas al N del cabo Fairweather en la costa E de la península Tierra de O'Higgins.
