Narrative

Descubiertas por la Expedición Antártica Sueca de 1901-1904, al mando de Otto Nordenskjöld. Fueron denominadas en 1945 por el FIDS, en honor del marinero Thoralf Grunden, miembro de la expedición sueca, que invernó en bahía Hope en 1903. Actualmente, se denomina Grunden a la mayor del grupo, donde se encuentra instalada la baliza luminosa colocada por el Gobierno Argentino. Roca de aproximadamente 12 metros de altura rodeada de un grupo de rocas más pequeñas que cierran por el E a caleta Hut en el extremo SE de la entrada a bahía Hope en el extremo NE de la península Tierra de O'Higgins.
