Probablemente, denominada a principios del siglo pasado por haber sido visitada por el foquero americano Hersilia de J. Sheffield, entre los años 1819-1820. Caleta situada en la costa S de la isla Rugged, costa W de isla Livingston, en las islas Shetland del Sur. Caleta con fondeadero abrigado y muy frecuentado por los cazadores de focas.
