Narrative

Descubierta por la Expedición Antártica Francesa, dirigida por el Dr. Jean B. Charcot entre los años 1908-1910, y recibe su nombre en honor a Léonie, a la más grande del grupo. Posteriormente en el año 1934-1937, la Expedición Británica al mando de John Rymill en el buque "Penola", hizo extensivo el nombre a todo el grupo. Grupo de pequeñas islas aproximadamente 6 millas al N de isla Jenny situada en la entrada a bahía Ryder en el lado SE de la isla Adelaida.
