La roca fue cartografiada por el personal de la Discovery II, pero el nombre apareció por primera vez en una carta del Almirantazgo en 1948. Es una roca baja ubicada a 17 cables al WNW de la isla Cuadra y retirada de la costa NW de la isla Rey Jorge, en las Shetland del Sur. Es una roca aislada de 3 mts. de altura sobre la que rompe con fuerza la mar.
