Narrative

Descubierto por la Expedición Francesa, que se desarrolló entre los años 1903-1905, bajo la dirección del Dr. Jean B. Charcot, quien la denominó con este nombre por el teniente Jorge Yalour, de la Armada Argentina, oficial de la corbeta "Uruguay", quien vino a rescatar a los náufragos de la Expedición Sueca en noviembre del año 1903. Grupo de islotes y rocas de 1,5 milla de extensión en el centro del estrecho Penola a 1 milla al NW del Tuxen en la costa W de la península Tierra de O'Higgins. En verano quedan libres de nieve, presenta una coloración rojiza.
