This name originates from China. It is part of the China Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
On the extreme north western part of Fildes Peninsula, a small island has a rectangular rocky mountain, on which there is a control point used for aerial images, 31 metres above sea level. This point was measured again and named in 1987.
