This name originates from China. It is part of the China Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
A cove at the place where Niuyan Hu empties into the sea, shaped like a pocket. The bottom of the cove is wide and the mouth is narrow. It is an excellent sheltered cove, and It was named when surveying and mapping in 1993.
