Narrative

There is a big rock exposed thirty or forty meters north of the Xiaogui Shan.In January 1989, China's first East Antarctic expedition team's ship "Jidi" stopped by the icebergs and was unable to unload goods. Therefore, more than a dozen team members tied each other with a rope in order to find a path to unload the goods. They started from this rock and began their adventure on ice. To commemorate this action, the rock was named "Tanxianjia Jiao" during survey and mapping in January 1989.
