Origin

This name originates from China. It is part of the China Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.

Narrative

This is a stone islet located five or six hundred meters to the north of Fenghuang Jiao. This islet is a relatively larger one on the outside of the west estuary of Fildes Strait, and an obvious landmark when entering Fildes Strait from Drake Passage. The highest point on the islet is 58 meters above the sea level. It was named when aerial photos surveying and mapping in February 1986.
